Gordana Viljetić, Senior Curator

Gordana Viljetić graduated in Ethnology and Pedagogy from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb. She has been working at the Ethnographic Museum since 2013, and in 2020 she was promoted to Senior Curator. She is the Head of the Collection of Textile Tools and Raw Materials and the Linens Collection.
She is the author/co-author/curator of several museum exhibitions (e.g. About Animals and People, 2017, #Post it on the Wall! Or, What Do a Dishcloth and a Meme Have in Common? 2024), international collaborations, interdisciplinary/pedagogical projects and audience development programs, twelve published professional and scientific papers, and eight scripts for short documentary/ethnographic films. She is the editor of the museum journal “Ethnological Research” (2023 – present), and a member of HED, ICOM Croatia and ICOM COMCOL.
Her professional interest is focused on cultural animal studies/anthrozoology, everyday anthropology, digital anthropology, deaf culture, museum pedagogy and audience development.
