Mia Beck, Curator

Mia Beck in 2016 graduated in Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb. She completed her internship at the Ethnographic Museum in Zagreb in 2017, and from 2019 to 2023 she worked at the Dražen Petrović Memorial Center. Since 2023, she has been working as a Curator at the Ethnographic Museum in Zagreb. She is the Head of the Collection of Traditional Costumes of Northwestern Croatia, the Collection of Traditional Costumes of the Peoples of Europe, and the Collection of Traditional Medicine Objects.

She is the author and co-author of several temporary exhibitions and professional papers. Since 2024, she has been attending postgraduate doctoral studies in ethnology and cultural anthropology at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. She is a member of the Croatian Ethnological Society.

Her research interests are the anthropology of care, the anthropology of aging, the anthropology of death, and medical anthropology.
